Service
Editorial Design and Photography
This project explores a reimagined visual identity for Jazzhátíð í Garðabæ through the design of an editorial magazine. Inspired by black-and-white jazz magazines from the 1960s, the project draws on the spontaneity and imperfection of jazz culture, from scribbled lyrics and handwritten notes to improvisation and experimentation. Alongside the editorial design, I also photographed some of the artists who feature, aiming to replicate the atmosphere and texture of classic jazz photography.

Challenge
Create a contemporary publication that feels analogue, tactile, and rooted in the history of jazz culture.
Solution
The magazine was risograph printed on newspaper-like paper to create a raw, physical reading experience.
